I had a long way to go to become an actress. It started at school: I liked to invent features that were not inherent in me: walking like a ballerina, telling the stories you read and passing them off as your own, doing odd makeup and making outfits for a fictional character, (I once cut up my dad's leather jacket to become Xena, the Warrior Princess).
At first I didn't let my dream come to life and graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the “Ostroh Academy” University, nevertheless still doing student theater throughout my years there.
"If you can be not an actor, then don’t be," I told myself and entered the theater department. Through rehearsals, training, sketches, character work, self-discovery, I began to understand who I was and what my main desire in life was. After graduation, my priorities changed: My son was born, and my acting career was postponed for a little. Then for family reasons I moved to Switzerland and acting was put on hold once again. There, I learned another profession at the Hotel Institute Montreux, and most importantly, I met a lot of fascinating people from different cultures, worldviews, and languages.
Only later did I realize that it was this series of events in my life that led me to a deep and irrevocable immersion in the acting profession.
After all, an actor is not inventing a character out of nothing, but building it from accumulated observations. Where different skills can come in handy, and the gained experience allows you to portray roles without having to lie.I felt that I had something to say, that I could create characters, experiment, and mix the written characters with myself.
Now, I live and work in Kyiv, and firmly believe in the crucial importance of culture in the fight against the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
From 2018 to the present, I have 24 projects in my portfolio.
